A non-profit organization comprised of local producers and businesses involved in the oil and gas industry. Established in 1978, by local producers, SOOGA established a voice to address issues and concerns unique to the geographic area of the Mid-Ohio River Valley.
Member – Ohio Oil & Gas Association (OOGA)
The Ohio Oil & Gas Association is a trade association with members representing the people and companies directly responsible for the production of crude oil, natural gas, and associated products in Ohio.
Member – IOGA of WV – Independent Oil & Gas Association of WV
Formed in 1959, the Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation representing companies engaged in the extraction and production of natural gas and oil in West Virginia, and the companies and individuals which support extraction activities.
Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP)
A non-profit energy education and public outreach organization. OOGEEP’s primary focus includes teacher workshops, scholarships, science fair, firefighter training, workforce development, guest speaker programs, along with creating and distributing fact sheets and handouts.
Member – Society Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
The largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry.
The purpose is to provide the public with facts, clarify false information and offer an in-depth look into the natural gas industry and to provide a source of factual information and two-way communication on the subjects of economic benefits, environmental standards and regulations, safety, and the future of energy in WV.
